About
Carla is a lead R&D Engineer at Volumetric. She has been an active advocate of sustainable energy and environmental awareness. In 2007, she participated in the meeting of the Montreal Protocol for the protection of the Ozone layer meeting in Montreal-Canada where she was warded the National Best Paper Award on public involvement in the Ozone depletion. Following that, Carla served as a research engineer at the Ministry of Energy in Lebanon contributing to the development of the Innovative Curriculum on Sustainable Energy. Carla Bahri holds a PhD in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University. In 2011, she received the Athena Ferron Award for Excellence in Mathematical Subjects, awarded by Princeton University. Carla holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Theoretical Physics from the American University of Beirut (AUB).
Prior to founding Volumetric, Gilad worked at Silverbrook Research, a startup developing nano-printing solutions, as a research engineer specializing in microfluidics. Other work experience includes Bosch automotive where he served as a development engineer and Ramot research where the primary focus was the aerodynamic design of flight vehicles. Gilad holds a PhD in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton University. Prior to his PhD, Gilad earned a Bachelor and Masters of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from Tel-Aviv University. Gilad was born in Israel where he served for three years in the Air Force as a UAV pilot.
Lloyd Kaplan is managing Partner of Pacific Global Consulting and former partner at iSuppli Corporation. One of the top marketing and sales executives in the electronics marketplace, with an outstanding track record in building brands and developing strategic alliances.

Volumetric was founded by Gilad Arwatz while working on his PhD in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Princeton University. The company develops smart and innovative dispensing solutions for topical gels and creams. In particular, Volumetric develops IP-protected highly accurate dosage control applicators that have the potential to revolutionize the smart packaging industry.
Lloyd Kaplan
Lloyd is a Senior Advisor at Volumetric and is currently the Founder and Managing Partner for Pacific Global Consulting. The firm advises in areas such as; business planning, supply chain development and commercializing new technologies. Lloyd has served as the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder for iSuppli Corporation. iSuppli was the global leader in technology and market research for the electronics industry and was acquired by IHS (IHS: NYSE) in 2010. During his tenure at iSuppli he built the global brand, integrated multiple acquisitions and managed the business development relationship with Goldman Sachs independent research group, Hudson Street. Prior to iSuppli, Kaplan served as the Executive Vice President for Avnet Incorporated. At Avnet he led the Electronics Group marketing and managed the global supplier relationship program. He was also the General Manager for Avnet Design Services, the company’s $100M ASIC business unit. His career also includes senior technical sales and marketing positions at Phillips Electronics and Hughes Aircraft. He worked as an investment banker with Thomas James and Associates. Kaplan earned a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
